MEMBERSHIP
The OHSAI has two types of memberships
available: Ordinary and Associate Any application for membership
must be proposed and seconded by existing members and the membership
must be ratified by a quorum of members at the next meeting of the
OHSAI.
Ordinary Members:
They must hold a valid recruitment
license from the Government of India. Only ordinary members have
a voting right in the OHSAI. The membership fee for an ordinary
member is as below:

Associate
Members:
This category is open to all individuals
/ corporates / institutions desirous of joining the OHSAI. They
shall have no voting rights. The membership fee for an associate
member is as below:

Any Member of the Society may resign
his Membership by a letter in writing addressed to the Secretary
of the Society, expressing his desire to resign but will be liable
to pay the current year's subscription as well as any out-standings
or arrears in respect of the entrance fee and the following year's
subscription if these have not already been paid before the date
on which his resignation becomes effective.
If it is reported to the Managing Committee
that any Member of the Society has committed a breach of any rules
of the Society and / or if any of his acts or behavior is likely
to endanger the character or stability of the Society and on the
basis of such report, a proposal to expel the member is made and
submitted, then the copies of such report and the proposal will
first be circulated among all the members of the Managing Committee
along with a 10 days clear notice in writing for convening their
meeting for the decision . In case the majority of two-third of
the members of the Managing Committee decide and agree with the
proposed action for the expulsion of the member, a registered letter
shall be sent to the Member proposed to be expelled, mentioning
the charges alleged against him. If no answer is received within
one month or if the answer that may be received is considered unsatisfactory,
or after hearing such member's explanation is not accepted by the
majority of the members of the Managing Committee in its meeting,
name of the member proposed to be expelled shall be removed from
the Register of Members and he/she shall thereafter cease to be
a member of the Society and he/she shall be informed about it and
shall not be entitled for any refund of his/her fees or otherwise.
